Cr Ben Green, Central Goldfields Shire Mayor

Cr Ben Green was elected as Paddy’s Ranges Ward Councillor in November 2024 and sworn in as Deputy Mayor for the first year of the current term. He brings extensive professional and governance experience. His background spans the construction and advertising sectors, sailing racing yachts and working as a boat builder. He returned to the legal profession 17 years ago as a partner at DSA Law in Queen Street Melbourne, before joining Nevett Wilkinson and Frawley Lawyers in Ballarat as Special Counsel in 2022. Cr Green holds a range of board and committee roles including with the Ballarat and District Law Society, Graduate House University of Melbourne, Sunbase ASX Listed Co, Channel 31 TV and the Talbot Fire Brigade. During his term Cr Green’s focus will be on improving local infrastructure including roads and bridges, facilitating the re-opening of the Maryborough Outdoor Pool, and supporting local business development.
