Cr Damian Ferrari, Pyrenees Shire Mayor

Cr Damian Ferrari was born and raised in the Beaufort region and is a community minded advocate who cares about everyone who lives, works and visits the Pyrenees Shire. He was first elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2021 and 2024. Cr Ferrari chose to stand again to continue working with the community and help progress key projects in the Beaufort area. He was elected Mayor in November 2025 and previously served as Mayor in 2020-1. Cr Ferrari brings more than 30 years experience with Victoria Police, including emergency management and critical incident response management. He has also worked with Catholic Education Ballarat. Across the next four-year term he hopes to see a more vibrant and connected community supported by a progressive and considerate council.
